Anooradha started her career at the age of 11 as Protagonist in short film on Paraplegic called 'USHA ISMAIL' by Zul Villani for BBC, London. Played 'KAMLI' at the age of 14. A short film on the evils of dowry & child marriage by Pratap Sharma. Film won awards & critical acclaim. Participated in many student films made at the Film Institute, Pune (F.T.I.I) .Attended seminars & lectures, in the process was exposed to some of the finest works of Cinema from all over the World.
Thereafter was offered several prestigious modeling assignments for 'Lakme' Cosmetics, 'Shringar' Kajal, 'Mafatlal 'Fabrics, 'Brooke Bond Red Label Tea' Special, 'Salem' Steel',Wipro', Shikakai, 'Nirma', 'Dabur', 'Ponds', to name a few.
THIS LET TO A CAREER IN HINDI CINEMA. Having completed over 25 films in lead roles, naming a few: Shashi Kapoor's 'UTSAV', Simi Garewal's 'RUKHSAT', Gulzar's 'IJAAZAT', Pathwardhan's ' ANANT YATRA', 'LOVE IN GOA', 'PHIR AYEE BARSAAT', 'BANDHAN ANJANA' etc….

She has done a Series 'Chapte Chapte' for Sippy Production & 'Gaata Rahe Mera Dil' as an anchor with her husband Kanwaljit.
Produced for SONY ENT. TV. 'Pehchaan' a series based on The Finishing School 'The Orchid', a program styled along the Lines of International Finishing Schools, and adapted to suit Indian requirement covering various aspects on Personality Development, Confidence Building & Grooming.
Produced & directed 'The Rasoi Show' a series on food & presentation in keeping with the cuisines of India, for SONY.
She has resumed her career
as an actress and worked in advertisement commercials and
press advertisements such as 'Clinic' Shampoo, 'Nirma' washing
powder, Nerolac Paints, Cavin Kare -Meera Herbal Hair Oil.
Also in Ramoji Films 'Tujhe Meri Kasam',
Anooradha has also done a cameo opposite Jeetendra in Ekta
Kapoor's "Kyi Ki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
Anooradha's most recent film is Dr.Rama Naidu's "Hamari
Beti" directed by A.K. Bir which is based on human potential.
At the Chicago Film Festival Sept' 2006, under the World Cinema
Category thirty films were selected, 'Hamari Beti' being one
of them.
